Paul Gross, the actor, played a transplanted Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officer living in Chicago in the show, "Due South." He would sometimes sing this song.

"Oh, I wish just one time,
I could find the Northwest Passage.
And see the hand of Franklin
Reaching out to the northern sea..."

The arctic waxes and wanes, regardless of CO2. CO2 does not drive temp. Never has, never will. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know the basic science that you could learn in 8th grade and is engaging in fantasy for either political, religious, or monetary reasons, all of which seek to squash the human in their end goal.

'It’s not entirely Goldenberg’s fault. She has been primed by years of press releases from the likes of NOAA and USIDC to believe that the ice is retreating on an almost daily basis. '

I'm afraid it is entirely her fault To misreport and mis represent is unforgiveable. She is a journalist for (what was once) a respected British newspaper. That used to mean something.

We must remember that data only goes back for 30 years which is but a short window into the naturalcyclic nature of the arctic ice history. We know from ship's logs that ice coverage was low in the 1940s and from history we know that Amundsen sailed the NW passage in 1903 and reported little ice cover. The Medieval Warm period enabled the Danes to colonise Greenland and produce good wheat crops where there is now thick ice. The alarmists are not interested in facts only the desire to control the rest of the population.

The entire edifice of AGW is about to come crumbling down. I suspect that its proponents know this, as is witnessed by their ever increasing shrill cries of 'we'll all be ruined'.

I saw today in an Australian newspaper blog, the most laughable comment from a person aptly named 'Sillyfilly from Gosford' which referred to the "empirical" science behind 'Global Warming' theory. Clearly, the woman [I presume its a woman] doesn't have a clue as to the meaning of the word 'empirical' but more than that its an example of how mind-numbingly stupid this entire arguments has become.

Are we now so stupid and cowed that we are to take as Gospel the stupid rantings of unwashed, uninformed, uneducated, Gaia worshippers?

I am now so exasperated with this lunacy that I am keeping a record of these ill-informed ideologically driven morons who are promoting this crap.

Their day will come!

[I suggest others do the same and let these morons know they will be held accountable when the entire fallacy is exposed for the fraud that it is.]

Has anyone contacted Suzanne Goldenberg with the websites to contradict her article? It would be most telling if she didn't reply or place a correction in her paper.

The Goldenberg / Carrington article about “the secret evidence for global warming which Bush tried to hide” is particularly ludicrous, since it provides the evidence of its own stupidity. The “censored” photoes 1) come from military spy satellites 2) show in great detail a port just over the water from Russia and 3) we’re supposed to be shocked that the port is ice-free in summer.
Now anyone who finds it strange that the American military should be reticent about publishing photos of strategic points like ports, or that a port should sometimes be ice-free, is so blinded by their own beliefs as to be incapable of rational thought. The fact that Ms Goldenberg can’t do subtraction is hardly surprising. (Wasn’t it she who saw thousands at the Washington rally, where others saw only the rally organisers?)
Guardian Environment has morphed from a biased environmentalist propaganda source into a crazed cult. Those with serious credentials - science correspondents and environmental editors like Adam, Vidal, and Randerson - contribute little. The serious lunacy seems to be outsourced to the likes of Goldenberg, presumably so their ravings can get into print, and no-one with a science degree has to embarrass themselves by signing up.
One bit of good news from the Guardian AGW bunker: Peter Taylor, author of “Chill”, has just challenged George Monbiot, author of “Heat”, to a debate. Get over to
